We stock a huge range of fresh and store cupboard food at realistic prices, using many local growers and producers. Many of our products are organic and we promote seasonality and products that have a minimal impact on the environment. Our range of specialist ingredients make a visit a must for the more adventurous cook.

Within our fruit, vegetables and salad section a large range of staple produce is available throughout the year but wherever possible we provide seasonal varieties of local produce and a small amount of Joshua’s own grown fruits.

Our deli counter is full of wheels of cheese, mostly from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset including such classics as Cornish Yarg, Beenleigh Blue and Godminster Organic Cheddar. For the perfect ploughman’s lunch add some quality Devon Rose ham and choose from our huge range of pickles and chutneys such as Devon Fire chutney, Real Ale Pickle and our bestselling Onion and Pineapple chutney, which is a winner with children and adults alike. To complete the meal you may even like to pick up some of our delicious rolls, freshly baked on the premises.

It’s worth visiting our wholefoods section to see the great variety of grains, pulses, seeds, nuts and dried fruit that we have on offer. From brown basmati rice, to raw pistachios to succulent Agen prunes there are ingredients to make your meals both healthy and delicious – many of which you won’t find in the supermarkets.

Here at Joshua’s we also understand that a healthy diet is a balanced diet and that includes treats! A great range of sweet and savoury biscuits include such delights as Border’s Dark Chocolate Gingers, Moordale Cranberry Crumbles, Thomas Fudge’s Flaky Cheddar Wafers and the unusual-sounding triple-baked Dorset Knobs! For greater indulgence we stock top quality confectionary such as Willie’s Cacao chocolate range from nearby Willand.

Joshua’s has always respected the vegetarian and vegan diet, with a great range of home-cooked food and specialist ingredients always in stock. We also have an expanding section of foods which cater to those on gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free diets. These range from store-cupboard essentials such as gluten-free flour, pastas and cereals to sugar-free jams, dairy-free cheeses and a selection of home-cooked meals and cakes which cater to these diets.
